STARFISH RANCH · WHERE GOOD WORKS GROW
Where the vision
can take root.
A place where people can gather, worship, restore, fellowship, learn, serve, create, grow, and build a better life together — rooted in Christ, community, meaningful work, and the beauty of creation.
THIS IS THE GROUND
A real place where more can become possible.
Immediately beside the Mount Tipton Wilderness, Starfish Ranch is being imagined as a place where faith, restoration, community, service, creation, and partnership can become something people can actually experience — on real ground, in a real community, with room for the vision to grow.
A place to come when you need something. A place to come when you have something to give. And sometimes, both at the same time.
Emerging initiatives can find real people, real ground, useful work, relationships, and room to become tangible here — while the wider ecosystem remains bigger than any one place.
PROPOSED INITIAL LOCATION
A possible home for the vision — with room for what may unfold.
The land now being considered for Starfish Ranch sits immediately adjacent to the Mount Tipton Wilderness. It gives the vision a real place to begin imagining worship, restoration, service, stewardship, fellowship, and community life on the ground.
This is a proposed initial location, not a limitation on what Starfish Ranch could become. A different parcel, an additional site, or a future partnership may ultimately offer an even better fit. The important thing is the vision: creating places where good can take root and grow.
WHY THIS AREA IS SPECIAL
Space to breathe. Stillness to listen. Room to begin again.
Dolan Springs is more than a point on a map. The elevation, open sky, quiet, ancient landscape, and rugged desert create a setting that naturally invites perspective, renewal, and a deeper awareness of God’s presence.
Immediately adjacent to the proposed site, Mount Tipton Wilderness brings rugged mountain country and extraordinary open space to the edge of the Ranch. Trails, washes, horseback routes, and climbing terrain invite people to explore, reflect, and experience the desert more deeply.
Dolan Springs stands at the gateway to nearly 40,000 acres of protected Joshua tree country, including the Grapevine Mesa forest — widely described as the finest existing display of Joshua trees in the United States.
Joshua trees, yucca, cholla, ocotillo, rocky washes, broad skies, and rugged slopes make this desert feel alive rather than empty — a fitting setting for restoration, stewardship, worship, and meaningful work.
THIS IS WHAT CAN GROW HERE
Six expressions of one living place.
The Starfish Ranch mark tells the story: faith above all, restoration, community, service, creation, and partnership surrounding a shared landscape. As you move through the page, those six ideas become the way into the Ranch.

Where faith takes rootand good works grow.
COME TOGETHER
Not every good thing begins with a program.
Starfish Ranch can be a place to worship together, pray together, share meals, study, fellowship, encourage one another, exchange ideas, build relationships, and spend enough time together to discover possibilities that might never have appeared otherwise.
Traditional services, outdoor worship, Scripture, prayer, and quiet space to seek God together.
Shared meals, conversation, encouragement, recovery groups, and the kind of ordinary time where relationships grow.
Workdays, workshops, training, projects, practical service, and ideas that become possible because people showed up.
Where faith becomes good works.
A developing church expression rooted in worship, Scripture, prayer, fellowship, service, and faith put into action — while leaving room for partner churches, visiting ministries, and other Christ-centered gatherings at the Ranch.
SERVICE · LOVE THAT SHOWS UP
A place where good gets to work.
The Ranch is not envisioned only as somewhere people come to receive something. It can also become a place where people do something — build, repair, grow, prepare, teach, care, organize, restore, maintain, and serve.
The Ranch can become a place where willingness has somewhere to go.
One place to begin.

What you bring can become what someone needs.

One place where needs, people, resources, service, and emerging ideas can become something tangible — without pretending the Ranch is the whole system or the only place good can happen.
DESIGNED IN HARMONY WITH CREATION
Let the land help shape the place.
The goal would not simply be to put buildings on the land. Future facilities could be thoughtfully designed to work with the natural environment — forward-thinking about comfort, efficiency, stewardship, resilience, and long-term usefulness.
ANIMALS · LAND · LIFE
There is restoration in caring for something living.
Ranch life can reconnect people with animals, soil, food, seasons, responsibility, quiet, work, and the rhythms of creation. Over time, that could include ranch animals, gardens, food-growing, trails, native-land stewardship, animal-assisted activities, rescue or foster partnerships, outdoor learning, or simply the everyday companionship that comes from caring for another living thing.
RESTORATION FOR MORE THAN ONE KIND OF LIFE
Restore what is worn down. Strengthen what is already good.
Restoration is not only for someone starting over. It can mean healing after loss, growing stronger, deepening a walk with Christ, strengthening relationships, finding new ways to serve, discovering or deepening purpose, and building a fuller life together.
The Ranch could become one place where healing happens — whether the Healing & Restoration Center ultimately develops on the Ranch, elsewhere, or across multiple sites.
Someone may come simply to worship, work, learn, fellowship, serve, care for animals, contribute to a project, rebuild daily rhythms, or become part of a Christ-centered community.
A place to heal. A place to contribute. A place to belong.
PARTNERSHIP · A SHARED OPPORTUNITY
More good can happen when there is room for more people.
Not a closed campus.
Starfish Ranch is not being imagined as a place belonging only to one program, congregation, organization, or personality. Churches, ministries, nonprofits, community groups, professionals, volunteers, neighbors, and people with something useful to contribute can have room to participate without becoming the same thing.
A place built to remain useful.
Dependable water, efficient facilities, solar and battery backup, communications, storage, and practical preparedness can support everyday work while expanding what may be possible during disruption or emergency. Resilience exists in service of people.
A VISION TAKING SHAPE
We do not need to know every building before we know what kind of place we want to build.
The land, facilities, partnerships, programs, resources, and timing will continue to take shape.
Some ideas will grow. Others will change. New possibilities will emerge as we learn what the community needs, what the land supports, and where God opens doors.
Somebody can arrive needing something and discover they still have something to give. And good has somewhere to grow.
